2011 Officers

Saturday, January 8th 2011 was the installation ceremonies for the officers of Broad Ripple Lodge #643 for the 2011 year. We welcomed Mike Walkup from the West to be this years Worshipful Master. Some familiar faces moving up the line, and and some new guys stepping up to join this group of dedicated masons. Unable to make the ceremony, but installed in Due Form the following Stated Meeting were our Tyler, Chaplin, and Marshal. After the installation, we had lunch and dessert served in our dining hall below the lodge room. This public ceremony is a great way to show the lodge room to someone interested in Freemasonry, family and friends. It also provides some insight into our traditions and ceremonies.

The full set of photos from the day can be seen on Flickr.

Bro Steve Mayflower

I came to Masonry as a way to meet some new friends. But in a short time, my new Brothers and the Lodge became a very important part of my life. The men I admire the most are my Masonic Brothers.

I came to the lodge because I was looking for answers and found a family.

Broad Ripple Lodge taught me how quickly men can become close friends, and form lifelong bonds. I feel I’ve known many of my fellow masons for a much longer time than I have actually been involved.

Why I Became a Worshipful Master

Why I Became a Worshipful Master

I joined a Masonic lodge to make new friends. In this day and age it can be difficult to develop constant predictable relationships with other people. In my life it seemed like every time I made a friend they ended up moving away, I lost interest or they were just too...

I want to welcome you to our website. I became a member of this lodge in an effort to connect with decent people. You will find good fellowship in our lodge.  –WM Ross

Between the baked potatoes, chili, and appetizers we had options for everyone to enjoy great food and fellowship. The chili was, of course, the star of the day with a wide spread of bubbling pots!
